Emeline in 't Zand

My name is Emeline in 't Zand and I live in Oxford, England . I am 41 years old and I am a homemaker, I have 2 kids of 2 and 3 years old. I took the TSI Basic 101 course in December of 2004 and just completed the TSI Intermediate 201 course(April 2005) and I'll soon start the Advanced 301 course after hearing about it from Gavin Allinson. My coaches were Gavin Allinson and Cliff Stockamp. At first I felt apprehensive about the course but now I want to tell you what has happened in my life as a result of taking the course.

Looking back on my life I've always been searching for answers. "Why" do I feel like this; "why" do I react/behave like that, etc. and although I've found some answers I've never been able to actually change my feelings and/or behaviour. Up till now! With the techniques/tools used at TSI I've discovered that my feelings/actions were based upon the idea that "you don't want to know me". So my reaction has been that I've been hiding, from myself and from life. Since I've found out that this is what has been witholding me I've started to create experiences in the 5 areas so I can become the person that I really am!

Physically: I'm back in shape after having had my 2 kids. I've spent 3 months in the gym and I'm now running ca. 5,5 km twice a week.

Family: After years of difficulties in the relationship with my partner(to the point that we both wanted to split up) I started looking just at how I could change myself. And with the help of TSI, I now feel in control of how we communicate, connect. This has brought the whole relationship to a deeper level! The relationship with my stepdaughter has also dramatically improved. All the negative feelings that I had towards the situation(= her) are gone.

Socially: As a result of the lie that I was living (you DON'T want to know me) I stayed away from new challenges, new people. Since discovering the lie and replacing it by the thruth(you DO want to know me) I've joined my son's pre-school committee, I'm setting up a Dutch school and I've joined Toastmasters. I'm also reviewing my friendships. Career: I'm not working as such at the moment because I've made the choice to stay at home and look after the kids for the first few years of their lives but the intention is that I will become a coach within TSI. This is something I really want and working towards that goal gives direction to my life!

Financially: To get more money in then just my partner's income we board foreign students who come to Oxford to learn English. Because of the improved relationships with the schools we've had students on a continuous basis since starting the 201 course . The main thing is that since joining TSI I don't worry about money anymore.

I feel so strongly about TSI and their coaching courses that I honestly believe that anyone would benefit from being in this environment for some time.

The coaches I had were excellent! They were very honest, encouraging and confronting! As they say they'll tell you not what you want to hear but what you need to hear.
